This week, we are grieving the loss of Charlie Kirk, a hardworking young man, devoted father, and loving husband. His voice and leadership inspired a generation, encouraging young people to speak up, engage in debate with respect, and take part in shaping our nation’s future.
This attack was reprehensible. Let’s be clear: political violence has no place in America. We can and should debate passionately without resorting to hatred or harm. I hope this tragedy reminds us all of the importance of coming together, rejecting violence, and continuing the conversations that make our country strong.
My prayers are with Charlie’s family, friends, supporters, and those at Utah Valley University who witnessed this senseless act.

This week, I chaired a hearing in the Oversight Subcommittee on Healthcare and Financial Services examining how poor diets and the overprescription of medication are harming American children.
It’s no secret that unhealthy eating habits and lack of exercise are fueling higher rates of chronic disease among kids. At the same time, overdiagnosis and overmedication are doing more harm than good. This health crisis was ignored and worsened under the Biden Administration.
Thankfully, President Trump and Secretary Robert F. Kennedy’s "Make America Healthy Again" agenda is putting us back on the right path. House Republicans will continue working with the Trump Administration to improve the health and future of America’s children.

This week, the Oversight Committee advanced 14 bills to restore safety and accountability in Washington, D.C., building on President Trump’s executive actions to clean up our nation’s Capitol.
House Republicans blocked the D.C. Council’s radical rewrite of the criminal code, which would have gone soft on violent offenders. We are also holding officials accountable for inaccurate crime reporting, demanding swift responses to juvenile crime, and standing firm against policies that fail to keep residents safe.
The United States should have the safest Capital in the world. House Republicans fully support President Trump’s efforts to restore law and order and will continue advancing legislation to make D.C. safe again.

This week in the Judiciary Committee, I supported legislation to close dangerous loopholes that allowed MS-13 members into our communities, provide relief for victims of human trafficking, roll back on the Biden Administration’s attacks on law-abiding firearm dealers, and protect American energy projects from activist lawsuits.
These bills are about keeping our communities safe, defending victims, protecting constitutional rights, and ensuring America remains strong at home and abroad. I’ll continue working to hold Washington accountable and stand up for the values Wisconsin families care about.

I’m grateful to President Trump for granting a Major Disaster Declaration after the devastating floods in Wisconsin. This declaration will provide the resources our state needs to rebuild and recover.
I was proud to join Senator Ron Johnson and the rest of the Wisconsin delegation in requesting this vital relief to help our communities come back stronger.

24 years ago, our nation endured the deadliest terrorist attack in our history. Nearly 3,000 innocent lives were taken, and countless heroes put themselves in harm’s way to save others.
In the days that followed, our nation stood united, strengthened in our resolve to protect our homeland, cherish our freedoms, and honor the values that make America strong.
On Thursday, we honored the victims, the first responders, and the everyday Americans who showed extraordinary courage in the face of tragedy.
May we never forget.

I enjoyed meeting with the American Academy of Dermatology and Dr. Suzanne McGoey of Sheboygan, who runs an independent practice back home.
The American Academy of Dermatology is a strong voice for dermatologists nationwide, and I appreciated the opportunity to discuss how we can better support physicians from our nation’s Capital.

I was honored to receive the Institute for Legislative Analysis’s "Defender of Limited Government" award.
Our Constitution’s principles of limited government continue to guide me every day. I’ll keep fighting for commonsense policies that rein in government overreach and put the American people first.

I had a wonderful time at the Ada Fire Department’s 61st Annual Brat Fry! It's always a joy connecting with our local first responders and neighbors, and nothing brings a community together like brats, good conversation, and great company.

I stopped by the Tisch Mills 14th Annual Fireman’s Fall Festival to ring in the fall season with the folks of Tisch Mills. It was a fantastic celebration of community spirit. Thank you all for the warm welcome.

I enjoyed catching up with the Badgerland Oliver Collectors at the Annual Pickett Show. The impressive tractor displays highlight the hard work and tradition that make Wisconsin’s Sixth District so special.
