This week, I joined Illinoisans at an ICE protest — standing shoulder-to-shoulder with immigrant families, advocates, and community members who refuse to be silenced.

Donald Trump wants to manufacture chaos, unleash ICE on our communities, and threaten Chicago with militarization. He’s trying to scare people into silence. But when we raise our voices together — when we protest, organize, and fight back — we send him a message he cannot ignore.

Because Illinois, your voices are powerful, and together we’re making it clear: Chicago will not bow to a wannabe dictator, we will not normalize authoritarianism, and we will always protect our neighbors.

But make no mistake — standing up to Trump has made me a clear target. His GOP enablers are already attacking me nonstop for refusing to bow to his agenda.

They want to silence us. But every time we show up, every time we raise our voices, every time we refuse to back down — we make our movement stronger.

This is what my campaign for U.S. Senate is about: protecting our neighbors, rejecting authoritarianism, and proving that compassion is stronger than fear. And we must take our fight to Washington. But I can’t do it alone — I need this grassroots team with me.
