Goldstein For Congress - Please Subscribe and also visit us at www.goldsteinforcongress.com On September 11th, there was only one thing to talk about - September 11, 2001 and remembering the worst American tragedy in our country’s history 24 Years Ago. After reflecting on this experience, the sad reality is that Never Forget 9-11 has become a distant memory. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. 24 years later and the same Al-Qaeda terrorist forces of evil that caused this horrific attack have only grown and morphed through violent attacks and radical non-violent brainwashing on college campuses. The execution of Charlie Kirk is a terror attack on intellectual freedom that claimed his life. He was silenced for his voice. 24 years ago, 9-11-01 was the largest terror attack on this nation and the now we live in an era of disrespect for first responders and the need for national guard forces to restore law and order as liberal cities with bail reform and a focus on social workers over police has resulted in rampant crime and murders. September 11th claimed more lives in one day and those first responders that ran into buildings to save lives and many perished were true heroes. While most focus on New York, we cannot forget the attack on the Pentagon and the failed attempt to attack Washington DC because of the extreme heroism of those brave passengers that took over and diverted United Flight 93. This plane was likely targeting the Capitol or the White House. Our very way of life was threatened on 9-11-01. The DC Experience I spent the whole day in Washington DC on September 11th. It started off with being at the Capitol and observing a moment of silence at 8:46 AM which was part of Congress‘ declaration of September 11 as Patriots Day. Almost nobody stopped for that moment of silence. Joggers jogged and it was business as usual. A tour guide making his living talking about our nation continued to give a tour. Here is the Video As Americans we can do better. We can stop what we are doing for one minute of our lives as we are just not that important compared to all those that have been sacrificed in the name of freedom. We are the Land of the Free Because of the Brave. As a New Yorker, I never thought I would be in DC on September 11th as I spend each September 11th at Ground Zero. The New York Experience I arrived at Ground Zero around 11PM to experience the lights and commemorate the memory of the towers that no longer stood there and to walk around the memorials of the footprints of the twin towers. Our entire system of government is based on Providence. George Washington speaks of it. The Rescue and Aftermath Out of the rubble, following September 11th, I’ve never seen this country more united. This was not about race, religion, political, sexual orientation. It was about all Americans being united. September 12th was one of the most unifying days in our country’s history. All Americans united for one common cause to build ourselves up and launch a war on terror. For years I have said on September 11th we were divided; on September 12 we were united. It is unity that has been missing in our country for many years as Americans. This September 11th was filled with vitriol against Charlie Kirk with many celebrating his death, reflecting a deep division in this country. Charlie Kirk never wielded a weapon - he simply used his voice and being deep in faith even if you disagree with it should never be ostracized (unless it is a misinterpretation of religion for evil). It is time to put our differences aside. We need to unite and fight our enemies domestic and abroad. I pray that we never have another September 11th in this country but there are many of those terrorist forces are active worldwide. Such terror attacks usually do not take place as a Plane hijacking and most often include a Holocaust or genocide component in the distorted name of G-d. Let’s all strive to be united once again and carry on the mission started on September 12, 2001. We can do that by eradicating terror and terrorist regimes wherever they lay their head.
