Federal workers are the backbone of our communities, especially in Maryland, where the federal government employs 1 in every 10 workers.

And despite that, the Trump administration is trying to silence their voices by stripping away their rights to collectively bargain and punishing them for speaking out.

As Maryland’s Attorney General, I’ve joined a coalition of 20 states to fight back.

We filed an amicus brief in support of the American Federation of Government Employees' (AFGE) lawsuit, which challenges an unlawful executive order that infringes on the constitutional right of federal employees to organize and speak freely.

This fight is about protecting workers and ensuring public servants can continue to serve our communities without fear of retaliation.
