We're pleased to announce that Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) will be our keynote speaker and deliver remarks at our upcoming Annual Meeting on Sept 25, 2025 in Washington, D.C.

Senator Van Hollen, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is a leading voice for effective diplomacy to reduce and eliminate nuclear threats, and broadly for a values-based American foreign policy that protects and advances human rights around the world.

Earlier this year, Van Hollen spoke about the unresolved challenges posed by Iran's nuclear program:

"While we all agree that Iran cannot obtain a nuclear weapon, U.S. intelligence has consistently shown that more time for diplomacy existed. Furthermore, the results of this [U.S.] strike show that the only durable path to preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon is through diplomacy – something that may now be more difficult to achieve."
