The idea that there is “no reason” to believe Donald Trump was involved in any wrongdoing with Jeffrey Epstein is absurd.

There is an enormous amount of smoke around Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein’s relationship — and where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

This really shouldn’t be all about politics. This is about finding justice for survivors by holding every perpetrator accountable, even if it's the President of the United States.

Look, Donald Trump was a known associate of Jeffrey Epstein. We’ve all seen the photographs of them together. Now, we even have a copy of Trump’s alleged birthday letter to Epstein — a damning piece of evidence against the President.

If Donald Trump truly has nothing to hide, why won’t he call on Congress to release the full files? Why is he stonewalling every investigation, every probe into his relationship with Epstein?

I think the answer is pretty obvious.

As public servants, Congress has a responsibility to find the truth, no matter how far it goes to the top.

And while I’m proud that a small handful of my Republican colleagues have pushed politics to the side to protect girls and young women across the country, there are still far too many Republicans in Congress who are more than willing to cover up Epstein’s sex trafficking ring — all to shield their rich and powerful friends from accountability.
