Dear John,
The Roadless Rule is under attack—and with it, America’s most intact forests.
For nearly 25 years, the Roadless Area Conservation Rule has safeguarded 58.5 million acres across 39 states from roadbuilding, logging, and fragmentation. These forests provide clean drinking water, store carbon, shelter wildlife, and offer unmatched opportunities to hike, fish, hunt, and explore.
Now, the Administration is moving to repeal the Rule. On August 29, they announced plans to rescind it and open 45 million acres of public lands to logging and development. The public has only days—until September 19—to weigh in.
