Free countries don’t let presidents decide who gets to vote—or how.

Donald Trump just announced he’ll “lead a movement” to eliminate mail‑in ballots and restrict voting machines before the 2026 midterms—and he says he’ll sign an executive order to do it.

Let’s call this what it is: an attack on your right to vote.

Add your name: Defend vote‑by‑mail and free, fair elections.

Here are the facts Trump won’t say out loud:

  • Mail voting is secure and widely used. Millions of seniors, service members, working parents, and people with disabilities rely on it to make their voices heard.
  • Most U.S. ballots are already paper. Research shows hand‑counting is less accurate and more expensive than modern tabulators.
  • He doesn’t have the power to do this. The Constitution gives states (and, in federal elections, Congress) authority over election administration—not the president. Legal experts have been clear about that since the Founders wrote it that way.

Trump’s goal isn’t election integrity. It’s chaos and control—make it harder to vote, undermine confidence, and tilt the field toward MAGA candidates.

That’s not democracy. That’s executive overreach. That's authoritarian.

Stand up for vote‑by‑mail. Tell Congress and state officials to reject any ban and protect our freedom to vote:

If we let a president decide how—and whether—you can vote, we don’t have a republic. We have a ruler. The American answer to that has always been the same: No kings.
