This is a sad day for our country, Jack.
Like I'm sure you are – I am heartbroken by the death of Charlie Kirk.
Charlie was more than a political leader. He was a devoted father, a man of deep faith, and a true patriot.
For millions of young people, he was their first connection to the conservative movement and the Republican Party, and his influence will be felt for generations.
Regardless of their politics, Charlie treated everyone he met with honor and respect. He believed in true dialogue, and while he may have disagreed, he was never disagreeable.
Charlie’s greatest strength was his faith in Jesus Christ, and I take comfort in knowing he is now home with the Lord.
Political violence has no place in America. We must remember that we can disagree without hatred or harm.
My prayers are with his family and loved ones during this tragic time.
