It would be a lot harder to save the bees without this Bee Lab.

The Bee Lab is housed in the U.S. Geological Survey, providing scientists, advocates and elected officials with valuable data to help better understand nature's best pollinators.

As we've pointed out to Congress for years, there's a lot of wasteful spending in the federal government, but this small program is just not an example of that. The small investment in bee research is hugely important. Environment Colorado is working to make sure the Bee Lab doesn't get swept up in the larger debate around budget cuts.

This two-person team provides immense value, supporting hundreds of bee studies, cataloguing thousands of species, and even cultivating its own pollinator garden.3

If this scientific research gets cut, it could set back the hard work of saving the nearly 4,000 unique bee species in America.4
