Five armed British police officers arrested an Irish comedian Monday for “inciting violence” against “trans people” — with pro-women tweets he made months ago.

Graham Linehan “refuses to believe men can become women.”

His staunch, often satirical, defense of biological reality makes him a frequent target of “trans” activists.

The once successful screenwriter moved to the U.S. last year after the British entertainment industry reportedly blacklisted him as a “transphobe.”

British police nabbed Linehan at the Heathrow Airport Monday under “suspicion of inciting violence on X.” He spent time in a holding cell at Heathrow Police Station before an officer interviewed him.

The posts, which the comedian made in April, express negative opinions about “trans” activists with his characteristic comedic flair. Only one even remotely references violence.

Police treated them like a crime.

“[The officer] asked about each of the posts in turn, with the sort of earnest intensity usually reserved for discussing something serious like … oh, I don’t know — crime?” Linehan wrote in a scathing account of his experience.

When the officer zeroed in on his tweet about punching men who enter women’s spaces, Linehan said it was “a serious point made with a joke.”

U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, Virginia, made eyebrow-raising comments last week denying the quintessentially American idea our rights come from God — not government.

“The notion that rights don’t come from laws and don’t come from the government, but come from the Creator — that’s what the Iranian government believes,” Kaine asserted during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on Wednesday.

“It’s a theocratic regime that bases its rule on Shia law and targets Sunnis, Bahá’ís, Jews, Christians and other religious minorities.”

But the senator didn’t end there. He doubled down:

“They do it because they believe that they understand what natural rights are from their Creator. So, the statement that our rights do not come from our laws or our governments is extremely troubling.

“I’m a strong believer in natural rights, but I have a feeling if we were to have a debate about natural rights in the room and put people around the table with different religious traditions, there would be some significant differences in the definitions of those natural rights.”

With his statement, Sen. Kaine, who was the Democrat party’s nominee for vice president of the United States in 2016, displayed a shocking ignorance of American history and our nation’s founding.

Core to the American identity is that our rights — to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, among others — come from God.

The Heritage Foundation recently released its 2025 Education Freedom Report Card, which evaluates and ranks all 50 states and the District of Columbia according to key components that determine parents’ freedom to choose the best education for their children.

The report also lists states that moved toward more education freedom in 2025.

The publication’s introduction quoted philosopher John Stuart Mills’ warning against state control of education because it allowed leaders to mold people “to be exactly like one another” in a way that pleases “the predominant power in the government.”

Heritage noted that America has failed to follow Mill’s guidance,

“Rather than encouraging a diverse and pluralistic system of schools, Americans created a public school system characterized by ZIP code assignment, regulatory capture by far left-leaning employee unions, high spending, low academic achievement and pervasive efforts to [mold] the views of children in disturbing ways.”

The 2025 report card lists the five states with the highest levels of education freedom in dark green: Florida, Arizona, Idaho, Arkansas and Louisiana. The states with the lowest levels of educational freedom, illustrated in red, were Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont and Rhode Island — with Maine at the very bottom of the list.

States were rated on four components: education choice, teacher freedom, transparency and return on investment.

Responding to news that he was either dying or dead, Mark Twain famously said, “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.”

According to a new report from Barna Research, the same might be said regarding the previous decline of young people’s faith and church attendance.

Released last Tuesday as part of the group’s ongoing “State of the Church” initiative, “Gen Z” and “Millennials” attend church more regularly than their older counterparts.

Digging into the data, Gen Zers, those born between the mid to late 1990s and early 2010s, attend church 1.9 times per month. Millennials, those born between 1981 and 1996, average 1.8 times per month.

In contrast, Boomers (1946-1964) and Elders (those born before 1946) attend 1.4 times per month.

David Copeland, who serves as Barna’s vice president of research, acknowledged the surprise that accompanied the findings.

“It’s typically older adults who are the most loyal churchgoers,” he said. “This data represents good news for church leaders and adds to the picture that spiritual renewal is shaping Gen Z and Millennials today.”

But is it really good news that the typical Christian is attending church only two out of every five weekends?
