School is back in session, which means that the affiliated organization, The New PA Project Education Fund (NPPEF), is back on college campuses, engaging students around the importance of registering to vote and voting their values in this November’s highly consequential judicial elections.


Low youth participation is disastrous for our democracy and young people alike. That’s why we center the youth (17-34) in our work and are out on the ground conducting voter registration and civic education at college campuses and universities all across Pennsylvania. Our staff speaks directly to students, listens to what they have to say, and ensures they have the information they need to confidently cast their ballots.


NPPEF staff are already out having meaningful conversations with students at Lincoln University, West Chester University, Widener University, Penn State Behrend, Millersville University, Lehigh University, Harrisburg Area Community College, and others. We also are preparing to travel to Penn State University in October to conduct a voter registration weekend blitz.

Centering and empowering young constituents is one of the New Pennsylvania Project’s top priorities, and with one of PA’s most important elections in years just weeks away, we must act quickly. With Labor Day weekend over, you know what that means: School is back in session!

That also means that the affiliated organization, The New PA Project Education Fund (NPPEF), is back on college campuses, engaging students around the importance of registering to vote and voting their values in the critical upcoming local, municipal, and judicial elections in November.


NPPEF has staff on the ground across the Commonwealth conducting meaningful conversations with students at Lincoln University, West Chester University, Widener University, Penn State Behrend, Millersville University, Lehigh University, Harrisburg Area Community College, and others to ensure students are registered to vote on campus and turn out to vote on election day to make their voices heard. Students have the power to elect leaders who will advocate and implement policies that impact their everyday lives, including tuition costs, housing, reproductive rights, and voting rights.


NPPEF is also preparing to travel to Penn State University, the main campus in Centre County, in early October to conduct a voter registration weekend blitz. This blitz has been very successful in the past in assisting students to register to vote and is an event that NPPEF’s staff looks forward to every year!
