What we can do to honor those we lost
Friend,
It's been twenty-four years since the horrifying attacks of September 11, 2001.
All of us at Stand Up hope that you take some time to hold your loved ones close, remember those we lost, and honor their memory however you see fit.
We also wanted to bring to your attention the great work of the FealGood Foundation, which aims to help emergency personnel including firefighters, nurses, police offices, volunteers get the help and care they desperately need. Promoted by Jon Stewart, the group is fighting to get healthcare for 9/11 first responders who are dealing with the long-term effects of toxic exposure and trauma they suffered that fateful day.

Our nation faced a great test that day. We've faced many since and will undoubtly face more in the future. But we can overcome if we remember that we are one nation united by a common goal to make every day better than the last.
