Hey, it's Deb.
As the summer winds down, I finally had a moment to look back on the past few weeks — what a whirlwind.
We’ve crisscrossed New Mexico and continued to build support in every corner of the state. Meeting New Mexicans on the campaign trail fills me with so much joy, so I wanted to share a few snapshots with you. 📷
New Mexicans are coming together to build safer communities.
I participated in a National Night Out in Albuquerque, a reminder of how we can build safer communities when we come together. Meaningful relationships between our neighbors, law enforcement, and first responders create safe places and reduce crime.
Meeting New Mexicans in rural areas has been one of my favorite parts of the summer.
I met with Tucumcari residents to talk about their transportation and renewable energy economies. Lowering utility bills for hardworking New Mexicans, creating good-paying jobs, and building a clean energy future in rural communities are at the heart of my campaign’s mission.
I was honored to be endorsed by New Mexico’s largest healthcare workers' union.
One of my proudest moments from August was receiving an endorsement from CIR/SEIU, our state’s largest healthcare workers’ union. Expanding health care access, fighting for working families, and leading fiercely are day-one priorities when I’m governor.
Listening to New Mexicans’ stories to learn how I can best serve them.
I attended an early Labor Day celebration with United Association Local 412 and their loved ones. I saw firsthand how solidarity, labor pride, and hard work bind this community together. As governor, I'll work to uplift all New Mexico workers and build ways for them and their families to thrive.
New Mexico is rich in tradition, and Zozobra is New Mexico True!
It wouldn’t be a proper end to New Mexico’s summer without Zozobra. We came together in Santa Fe to say "Goodbye, old man gloom!" With all the challenges this year has brought, it was a much-needed reminder of the power of positivity and hope that our future holds.
Marching in the State Fair Parade is always a great time!
And of course, is there any better way to cap off a successful New Mexico summer than the State Fair? It was incredible to feel the energy, see everyone’s smiles, and celebrate the rural communities and agricultural traditions that make our state great.
As you can see, we’re entering fall on a wave of energy, and that is all because of the support from people like you. Our campaign isn’t slowing down one bit, and I’m counting on your support to keep us going strong.
Be fierce,
Deb
