Today on Fearless, Cissie Graham Lynch remembers her friend and a true voice for freedom: Charlie Kirk. Charlie was tragically killed in an act of unspeakable violence yesterday, and today Cissie pays tribute to a young man who knew what it meant to live fearlessly for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
“His life was short—but it was full,” Cissie says. “His voice may be silenced—but his message echoes louder than ever.”
Cissie leaves us with the words her grandfather shared from the Washington National Cathedral after Sept. 11—24 years ago. In the wake of the darkness we’ve witnessed this week, we pray these words will encourage all of us as believers to not be silenced but instead be emboldened to live out our faith more fearlessly than ever before.
“Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”
—Matthew 10:28, ESV
