Feedback sought on outdoor recreation plan

Nebraskans are invited to share their feedback on the 2026-2030 Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan [ [link removed] ]. This plan, which can be found online, is a resource for communities and govt. agencies planning recreational opportunities. The plan enables Nebraska to access federal funds, which are then available for recreation projects across the state through a grant application process. The feedback period runs Sept. 17 through Oct. 2, 2025.

Nebraska is one of the few states in the Midwest without widespread zebra mussel invasions. Waterfowl hunters are an important partner in preventing the spread of damaging aquatic invasive species. Removing plants and mud from gear and blinds, and following 'clean, drain and dry' procedures are just some of the ways you can help. Learn more about protecting Nebraska's waters.
