Jack — The filing process to run for office in San Diego County in the 2026 midterm begins in less than 90 days — and we urgently need good people to serve. And in the words and memory of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was tragically assassinated yesterday, “If you believe in something, you need to have the courage to fight for those ideas - not run away from them or try and silence them.”

Will you honor his memory by stepping up and committing to the fight to fix our state and country? Last cycle, Democrats won over 100 local seats by default because no one from our side even filed to run. We cannot let that happen again!

Running for office is NOT as hard as you may think — and many local seats can be won simply by putting your name on the ballot and running a basic campaign.

That’s why the Republican Party of San Diego County is holding a 2026 Candidate Training Class THIS SATURDAY, Sept 13, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

At this training, you’ll:

  • Learn the basics about campaigns and elections
  • Hear directly from elected leaders and campaign veterans
  • Get answers to your questions on how to run and win
  • Gain the tools and confidence to step up and make a difference

Whether it’s a seat on your local school board, city council, water district, or planning group — every conservative voice matters. And too many of these seats are being left to the radical left without a fight.

Will you join us this Saturday to learn how YOU can step forward — or chip in to help us train and recruit the next wave of conservative candidates?

Together, let’s fix our county and state in 2026. For Charlie, our children, and the future of this great country.

Paula Whitsell
Chairwoman, Republican Party of San Diego County
