Hi friend,
Today marks 24 years since the tragic events of September 11th, 2001 — a day that changed our nation forever.
We pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families who still carry unimaginable grief, and the first responders, law enforcement officers, and military personnel who risked and gave everything to save others. Many of whom are still bearing lasting wounds from that day. Their courage, sacrifice, and service will never be forgotten.
In New Jersey, we carry this day especially close to our hearts. From gardens and plaques to parks and memorials, we have created more than 150 places across our state to honor those we lost and the heroes who stepped forward in our darkest hours.
Today, as we reflect, let us hold the memories of those we lost, the resilience of our communities, and the unity we found in the days and months after close to our hearts.
We will never forget. We will always remember.
With solemn gratitude,
Nellie
