Friends,

The assassination of Charlie Kirk is the culmination of rising political tension in our country and the consequence of demonizing political opponents to the point they are no longer people.

Charlie Kirk set out to open a dialogue with those who he disagreed with. He promoted discourse, bringing people of all political beliefs to the table to debate and exchange viewpoints. And he was murdered for it.

We are better than this.

Today, we also remember the horrific attacks on September 11, 2001. On that day, our nation was not attacked by political differences, but by radical terrorists seeking to destroy us. Yet in response, we united as Americans, putting aside our differences.

We pray for the Kirk family. We pray for the 9/11 victims and their families.

Sincerely,
