In California, Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a $20/hour fast-food wage law—pushed by the SEIU—that cut an estimated 18,000 jobs compared to national trends. Fewer entry-level jobs means fewer teens gaining responsibility and independence, and learning teamwork.
