Twenty-four years ago this week my dad died of cancer, and 24 years ago today thousands died in an act of terror that we now refer to as simply 9/11. Events like these are forever reminders of two things in particular: loss is painful, and loss is inevitable.
As we step squarely into September and contemplate a refresh of our rhythms and habits (don’t forget Rebecca’s article from a couple weeks ago!), it’s the perfect time to remind ourselves of something else: God is unshakeable. It’s why everything we do here at Boundless is singularly devoted to putting the spotlight not on me, or Bry, or John, or our social media, or our stellar writers and contributors (and they are stellar) — but on God himself. If you want to grow in your faith, relationships, character, maturity, career skills and more, sit at the feet of Jesus. He is the only One who can take what life will throw at you (the good, the bad, and the even worse) and not only make sense of it — but make something of it. Of course we want to be with you on the journey, but by all means take your lead from Jesus. He is the Conqueror. He is the Good Shepherd. And He is your friend.
