From day one, we’ve been building a progressive movement for an important purpose: reshaping what is possible to change for working people in this country. Because let’s face it – the systems of power and our economy are not designed to advance the interests of working families.

Those structures are designed to protect the influence of a select group of people, and block systemic changes that need to be made. From our endless wars to our broken health care system, it’s clear that the status quo is fundamentally inadequate.

And every day on Capitol Hill, I’m fighting to fix those problems. I’m coordinating with fellow progressive leaders to pass legislation that enacts meaningful change, I’m working with my team to learn more about the issues that are critical to struggling folks, and I’m voting for what’s right on tough bills, even if it’s hard.

None of that would happen without people like you. Grassroots supporters have been the bedrock of this movement since the very beginning. Every victory that we’ve won has been because of that. Every victory belongs to people like you.

But we still have a big journey ahead of us. We still need to pass Medicare for All. Our nation must lead on the upcoming climate crisis. It’s our moral imperative to take action on ending these endless wars. There’s work that needs to be done.
