Friend, In a few hours, June will turn over to July here in Missouri. This past month has been remarkable. As we celebrated Pride Month and a landmark Supreme Court decision affirming LGBTQ+ rights, we also marched to assert that Black Lives Matter and to protest the racial injustice levied daily against Black Americans—all while we confront a very novel and dangerous pandemic. And amidst all that, we are running a robust political campaign. It has sometimes felt frivolous to make a fundraising call, or social media post, or to speak at an event during these momentous times. But as I am reminded by the people speaking up about these issues, this is why I chose to run. Missouri’s 8th District—and disenfranchised people everywhere—deserve better. We need quality, universal healthcare, LGBTQ equality, and racial justice. And a true representative who listens and votes in the people’s best interests. I am fully committed to fighting for those things, and I will do so in any way that I can—one call, one post, one march at a time—until we have a voice in Congress who sticks up for us with real action in policy. If you can, I would be honored if you would join us by making a contribution to help us reach our goal tonight: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/ellisdayofsupport Onward,
