As more red states rush to follow Trump’s demand to rig their election maps in his favor, this week all eyes are on Missouri as its legislature pushes ahead with a new map to hand Republicans another seat.

This is Trump rigging the votes before anyone even heads to the polls playing out in real time. And we need your help, right now, to stop it.

Democratic state representatives just waged a 100+ hour sit-in in protest with Our Revolution board member Megan Green on the ground alongside our allies at the Capitol in Jefferson City. And now we’re rapidly ramping up our organizing machine to gather enough signatures to use this window of opportunity to FORCE a statewide vote to stop it.

While Texas and California have gotten most of the attention, Trump has been quietly pushing his cronies in Missouri, Florida, Indiana, Ohio and beyond to redraw their maps to hand him even MORE seats.

On Tuesday, the Missouri House of Representatives passed Trump’s new map. Now, the state Senate is gearing up to vote as soon as TOMORROW. Our coalition is fighting back – joined by Our Revolution-endorsed State House representatives and Our Revolution board member and St. Louis Board of Aldermen President Megan Green. But we’re not stopping there.

While Republicans may be able to pass the bill this week, Missourians have a unique tool to stop this racist, blatant abuse of power: the citizen veto. In Missouri, any bill can be put up for a statewide vote if opponents gather enough signatures.

This tactic worked in 2018 when our allies were able to gather 300,000 signatures to repeal a right to work law. And now we’re gearing up to do it again.

This is a fight we can win – but it’s going to take rapid fire grassroots organizing to do it. Which is why Our Revolution is working hand-in-hand with local partners on the ground, hiring organizers, training volunteers, and launching a massive public education campaign. But statewide fights like this don’t come cheap.

The right-wing machine is already in full swing, betting they’ll catch us off guard. We can’t afford to let Missouri go under the radar. Because if Trump wins here, he’ll roll this playbook out in every state he can.

Let’s send a message to Trump: we see what you’re doing, and we won’t let you rig our elections. Together, we can protect the people’s voice – not just in Missouri, but across the nation.
