John, TODAY we are in criminal court in Chicago defending preachers of the Gospel who the city cuffed and hauled to jail. Instead of targeting crime, Chicago chooses to single out evangelists spreading the Good News – the very thing it needs the most.
This began with the arrest of one preacher. We challenged those charges – and won. Then shockingly, the very NEXT DAY, police arrested two more preachers under the same vague law – it's unconstitutional. We aren't backing down on this one. And it's not just Chicago. We defended a preacher in NYC who was arrested. The radical Left's desire to silence Christians is widespread. Several of our clients have been fired or forced to hide their faith. One client-teacher was banned from praying where students might see her. Yet another client was blocked from hosting a Bible study in her own home. TODAY, as our preacher clients go before the criminal court in Chicago, we will be defending them as we've successfully defended others.
