Dear John,

I’d like to introduce myself as the new Stop Climate Chaos Coordinator. My name is Sara Hurley, and I’m so happy to be working with Stop Climate Chaos, supporters and activists across the climate movement in Ireland and internationally.

At a time when it seems like climate has fallen off the agenda, we need to push back on this false narrative. Meaningful action has never been more important, and in truth, more possible.

Climate change as a problem won’t be solved by words but through action. We need all types of people, knowledge and experience to ensure the path Ireland follows is one of leadership that delivers real change. From local groups to national coalitions and international negotiations, people and our love for our families and the many places we might call home is the driving force for fighting for our futures.

We want to see Ireland do its fair share, we want Ireland to phase out fossil fuels, and we demand that this transition be a just one - for people, for planet, for workers and for the future.

I'm also getting in touch to share a change of date for the Mass Lobby event with your TDs.

Due to the Presidential Election taking place the same week of our planned lobby day in Buswells, we are now changing the date to the 3rd of December to ensure a better turnout and that your voice is heard!

Over the next few weeks, you’ll hear more about our plans for taking to the streets on November 15th for the Climate Demo and how to get prepared for the Mass Lobby. For now, we wanted to make sure you have the right dates in your calendars!
