We’re just ONE WEEK OUT from National Voter Registration Day, and we’re celebrating the holiday the best way we know how: Texting at-risk voters with the information they need to register and vote with confidence!

On National Voter Registration Day, we join with thousands of organizations to encourage people to register to vote and to make their voices heard in every election. But here’s the thing: in 38 states, registering to vote may not be enough.

In the 38 states that have voter ID laws, registered voters need to be informed that they need an ID to cast a ballot that counts, and need to get an accepted form of ID if they don’t have one already.

That’s where you come in: We need YOU to text voters in Georgia and Texas letting them know what form of ID they’ll need to bring to cast their ballot with confidence. >> [link removed]

In both states, registering to vote is not enough. Voters will need to do an ID check and take steps to secure an accepted form of ID in time. Let’s be sure they receive important ID information and help them make their voices heard.
