Dear Friend,

For the last 30 days, DC neighbors have stepped up and are taking even greater care of each other. School communities gathered to get kids to school safely, restaurant workers built networks of support, volunteers help detained residents and their families, neighbors alerted neighbors of federal law enforcement presence. In ways big and small, we show up for each other.

On Saturday, DC JWJ was proud to join over 10,000 people fighting back together against Trump's attacks on our rights and our people. We were proud to be in the streets with you.

There are more ways we can keep showing up for each other right now, and we want to share them with you.

In solidarity,

Elizabeth

DC JWJ and our allies continue to fight to save the DC Healthcare Alliance, but unfortunately the impact of the budget passed by the DC Council is that enrollment is closing for DC adults who need insurance. Please help make sure as many eligible adults register before the end of the month.

Please share the information from Legal Aid DC about who is eligible and how they can get enrolled.  Health centers like Bread for the City and Mary's Center can also enroll patients. Fliers: English. Spanish. Amharic.

Congress is threatening to overturn some of DC's most compassionate laws. That includes our record sealing and expungement law. Despite Congress's attack, this is still the law, so we encourage those who might be eligible to check out this new resource from DC Justice Lab: https://dcexpungement.com
