Memphis. “Homicide capital of America.” Two things that should never be said together, but the fact of the matter is that it is unfortunately true. For several years, Memphis has been one of the top five most dangerous cities in America.
It’s a bold step—but a much-needed one in the right direction. Protecting our families and restoring safety to our communities will be one of my highest priorities as governor.
Memphis is rich in history, making it an ideal tourism destination. It is home to the blues, the birthplace of rock and roll, and a focal point for the Civil Rights movement, yet it has become practically unvisitable due to its out-of-control crime.
As an 8th-generation Tennessean, I'm deeply hurt to see how crime has torn at the fabric of one of our greatest cities. That's why I’m ready to fight to make it a better place—will you join me?
We need the grassroots strength to win this campaign. My opponents will talk tough but fail to deliver. We can’t afford that.
Your support fuels our movement to prioritize public safety and protect Tennessee families—just as my family has called this state home for generations.
Thank you for standing with me to make Tennessee a greater place.
