The scale of suffering in Gaza is unimaginable. Many families are starving, children are wasting away from severe acute malnutrition, and people are dying.

The hunger crisis isn't just threatening children's lives—it's stealing their futures. More than 650,000 children can't attend school this September. Even those strong enough to learn have nowhere to go, with nearly 90% of schools damaged or destroyed. Every child in Gaza has now experienced profoundly distressing events and trauma.

Together with local partners, IRC teams are treating malnutrition and offering nutrition counseling and care for children and their caregivers. We're also delivering clean drinking water alongside sanitation and hygiene services.
