When I first got to Congress, I started to discuss big, bold plans – ones that presented solutions on the scale of the crises working families face. Unsurprisingly, a lot of my colleagues responded by saying: “We can’t do too much, we can’t go that fast.”

But not Ed Markey. He had the courage to stand up, jump into the fray, and help us introduce a Green New Deal to the world. Without his support, we wouldn’t have made nearly as much progress in driving the conversation about rising to the challenge of our climate crisis.

As one of the strongest progressives in the Senate, Markey is a critical ally in our fight. But right now, he’s being heavily outspent by a moderate primary challenger ahead of a June 30th FEC deadline. Will you step up and rush a $3 contribution to his campaign?

At this moment, we are in a battle for the soul of the Democratic Party. Champions like Jamaal Bowman and Mondaire Jones have shown the strength of progressive energy and what’s possible if we stand together as a movement.

Our party has to be more than just “better than Trump.” We must proactively offer bold, systemic solutions to the systemic problems that working people face across this nation. Ed Markey is not just campaigning on his record – he’s aggressively pursuing an agenda that builds a better future for all. That is the heart of what it means to be a progressive.

Our movement already has big plans to keep up the fight for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and an end to our system of mass incarceration and deportation in our second term. In every one of those battles, Markey is a leader that we need with us.
