The deadline is tomorrow. Europe's laws protecting our precious forests, rivers, oceans and wildlife are under threat. 

The European Commission is considering weakening these vital protections under the guise of "simplification", a move which would undo decades of progress and leave our natural world vulnerable. 

These laws are essential for the planet's future. Strong legislation works, as we saw with the EU Deforestation Regulation. We cannot allow that progress to be undermined. 

The European Commission's public consultation is our chance to send a clear message - we want stronger environmental protections, not weaker laws. 

The deadline is tomorrow, Wednesday 10 September.
