Our team has been organizing hard to meet moments of crisis and stand
together across movements to defend Black lives, lobby for an equitable
COVID-19 response, and hold our leaders accountable through 2020. Just in
the last several weeks, we:

* Launched a Black-led climate leadership program to provide training
and build community that tackles racial and environmental oppression;

* Organized webinars on how to center racial justice and support Black
lives in our fight for climate justice;

* Rolled out videos and articles to shift mainstream understanding that
there is no “just recovery” without dismantling the systems that
marginalize and destroy the lives of Black people;

* Pressured iconic institutions to divest from fossil fuel companies
that disproportionately pollute communities of color;

* Mobilized tens of thousands of people to submit public comments
demanding that Governor Gavin Newsom stop oil drilling near homes and
schools that disproportionately impact Black and Brown communities;

* Called on our national network to join the Movement for Black Lives
for the Juneteenth weekend of action and to demand federal COVID-19
relief that centers Black and Brown communities; and much more.

But we need to continue building that work for the long-haul. And we need
resources to keep our tools running and support our small (but mighty!)
team.

Together, and only together, can we confront the urgent threat of fossil
fuels that disproportionately pollute the lives of Black and Brown people.
