We have some good news and bad news.
First, the good news: after we reached out to our grassroots supporters a few days ago about our critical fundraising deadline, we saw a surge of support. Progressive folks from around the country were chipping in $3, $10, or even $27 at a time to fuel Ro’s reelection.
But, there’s some bad news: With about 6 hours to go, we’re still about $2,301 away from reaching our online fundraising goal. If the pace doesn’t pick up again, we’re not going to make it there.
A huge portion of our support comes in through emails just like this one. That’s because Ro’s not like a lot of other members of Congress. He takes $0 in PAC donations – corporate or otherwise – because this has always been a campaign for the people. It’s simply not for sale.
Our opponent in November isn’t playing by that rulebook. He’s publicly bragged about how he’ll go to a select group of powerful, wealthy funders to help him “take over this town.”
Right now, we’re building a powerful, progressive reelection campaign to make sure that doesn’t happen. Every dollar we can invest today is going to pay dividends tomorrow in digital contact, GOTV, and flipping voters.
Thanks for everything you do,
Team Ro
