Hi John,

By now, you’ve heard it all -- from my campaign manager, Carole, to my campaign staff. My data team has crunched the numbers, and my team at campaign headquarters has just reminded me how important our upcoming FEC end-of-quarter deadline at 11:59 PM tonight is.

The truth is, I don’t have some elaborate pitch about how the sky is falling to help convince you to contribute to my reelection campaign. We both know what’s at stake, so I’ll keep this short.

This is a campaign about ideals -- ideals that will carry us long past the fundraising deadline tonight or even the election in November. This is about standing up for what’s right, and holding each other accountable.
