PORT ORCHARD, Wash.- Kitsap County's "Year of the Rural" initiative seeks public input to help shape the future of rural areas, focusing on preserving and protecting the unique rural character of the County.
Long Range Planner Heather Cleveland will provide an in-depth presentation at the next Kingston Community Advisory Council meeting, scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the Village Green Community Center, located at 26159 Dulay Road NE in Kingston. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend!
The meeting will also feature committee reports, an update on Kingston Ferry Terminal construction, volunteer discussion for the Discovery Kingston Open House, and opportunities for public comment.

About the Kingston Community Advisory Council
The Kingston Community Advisory Council holds public monthly meetings to provide a discussion forum and enhance communication between Kingston-area residents, businesses, and Kitsap County government. KCAC members work proactively to address community issues and concerns.
They represent Kingston's broad interests as at-large members appointed by County commissioners or spokespeople of local organizations including the Port of Kingston, North Kitsap School District, the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe, the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce, and Village Green.
