Donald Trump just declared war on an American city.
After deploying National Guard troops to Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., Trump is now threatening to send troops into Chicago. And over the weekend, Trump said “Chicago is about to find out why it’s called the Department of WAR.”
Trump’s deployment of the National Guard has NOTHING to do with crime. It’s about control – control over blue cities, control over law enforcement, control over our democracy.
That’s why it’s so important that Democrats are prepared to use every ounce of leverage to stop Trump’s authoritarian takeover of our cities. We cannot act like this is business as usual. Do you agree?
