It ain't easy holding conventions during a pandemic. But the turnout and participation in Our Wisconsin Revolution's state convention held Sunday over Zoom showed that no virus can stop people who care a great deal from finding ways to band together and gain strength from each other.

Voting in our state board elections started shortly before Sunday's Zoom meeting convened and ended today. The results are in. Charlie Ryan was elected co-chair. Larissa Joanna and Alexa Safer were elected to two-year terms as at-large members of the board, and Nino Amato and Mary Kay Baum were elected to at-large seats for one-year terms. Krish Colón was elected as board representative for the 1st congressional district, Rich McGowan was elected to represent the 2nd CD, Jessica Bernier in the 3rd, Tyler Allen in the 5th, Michael Beardsley in the 6th, Nancy Tabaka Stencil in the 7th and Justice Peche in the 8th.

Twenty-three civic leaders from every part of the state came forward to stand as candidates for 12 seats on OWR’s board of directors. Congratulations to all who were elected. And thank you a thousand times to all 23 candidates who stepped up to leadership and gave OWR members a rich abundance of choices in these elections. Both the quantity and quality of the candidates are a reflection of the renewed enthusiasm and vitality in OWR's ranks.
