My team just sent me this article, and I can’t believe this. 

Look at this headline:

The Trump administration is plotting to immediately rescind the 2001 Roadless Rule, which protects almost 60 million acres of American forests, preventing road construction and development that would damage the untouched forestland.

This is an incredibly shortsighted and backwards decision. Ending protections for America’s wild forestlands would harm our recreation & tourism industry, place an even bigger burden on the underfunded and understaffed U.S. Forest Service, and — contrary to the administration’s stated goals — actually increase the risk of wildfires in Oregon and across the country.

Look, I introduced the Roadless Area Conservation Act earlier this year to enshrine these protections into law, because this policy is simply too critical to leave up to the whims of Donald Trump and his corrupt administration.
