John —
We confirmed our delegation to the Democratic National Convention — 495 delegates strong (and 35 Alternates) — by a virtual voting process.
Anchored in Milwaukee, the 2020 Democratic National Convention will be a “Convention Across America,” and California will play a key role.
That’s why, by joint agreement between the Sanders and Biden campaigns, a vote from our delegates, and with the support of Governor Newsom, a unity team of Co-Chairs will lead our delegation: Congressmember Barbara Lee, Congressmember Ro Khanna, and Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis.
Winning in November is about saving our democracy and building a brighter future for all Americans. And with only 126 days to Election Day, there’s not a moment to waste → DONATE NOW » John, these virtual votes -- and our upcoming virtual Democratic Convention -- are a reminder that we’re living in unprecedented times.
But we can’t let the coronavirus or anything else distract us from our #1 goal as California Democrats: Defeating Republicans like Mitch McConnel and President Trump at the ballot box this November.
To do that, we’ve assembled a dynamic and diverse team of California Democrats possible to represent us at the Democratic Convention.
We don’t have much time, and there’s so much work to do.
Let’s ensure California Democrats do their part in unseating Trump and safeguarding our democracy.
