Hi John,

Yesterday the Trump Administration issued notice they will start reviewing the Twin Metals plan to build a massive sulfide-ore copper mine on the edge of the Boundary Waters, bringing the proposal one step closer to being constructed. We cannot let this happen.

Thankfully we have champions working to save the Boundary Waters, like Rep. Betty McCollum who has introduced the Boundary Waters Wilderness Protection and Pollution Prevention Act (H.R. 5598). This bill would permanently protect the Boundary Waters and Voyageurs National Park from sulfide-ore copper mining.

However, your Congressional Representative has not yet co-sponsored Rep. McCollum’s bill! We need your Representative to sign on the H.R. 5598 to show support for the Boundary Waters not only in Minnesota but from across the entire country. The Boundary Waters is America’s most visited Wilderness and we need to protect it now and for future generations to enjoy.

Send a message now here: [link removed] asking your Representative to co-sponsor Rep. McCollum’s bill to protect the Boundary Waters Forever.
For the Wilderness,

Alex Falconer
Government Affairs Director
