Dear John,

In these final hours of Pride Month, Just Texas: Faith Voices for Justice invites you to show your Pride by participating in Give Out Day [[link removed]] , the only national day of giving for the LGBTQIA+ community.

We celebrate Pride Month by remembering that Pride originated as an uprising led by Black and brown leaders of the trans community at Stonewall in 1969. This month we, at Just Texas, are learning from, listening to, and centering our Black LGBTQ siblings in this work while we continue our advocacy work for the LGBTQ community in Texas.

We are proud to say that Just Texas is staffed by an all queer team. We believe in the full equality of all LGBTQ Texans – equality before God and equality under the law. Our faith compels us to oppose anti-LGBTQ legislation, to refute discriminatory religious exemption laws, and to fight against any attempt to treat the LGBTQ community as second class citizens.

On Give Out Day, Just Texas’ goal is to raise $2,500 for our continued advocacy work. Will you chip in what you can to help us fund the work ahead? [[link removed]]

I am so proud to continue this work with you each and every day. Thank you for your generosity and support.

Onward to a more Just Texas,

Sonja Miller
Outreach & Faith Director

P.S. Already made your Give Out Day gift? We are so grateful for the support you’ve already given! If you’re able to, please help us spread the word! [[link removed]]
