Like many of you, I've watched in horror as Donald Trump has taken a sledgehammer to our country and abused his power. 

His decision to deploy the National Guard in Washington, D.C., is especially horrifying. He is seizing control of the city to draw focus away from his unpopular and failing programs.

And friend, if he can do this to Washington, D.C., there is no reason he can't do it to other cities – including cities right here in Colorado. 

In fact, Donald Trump is already lashing out against us by moving Space Command HQ out of Colorado because he doesn't like our mail-in voting system.

It will be up to our next governor to stand up to Donald Trump and stop his abuses of power, and that's exactly what I plan to do. 

That's why I'm running for governor of Colorado. Together, we can fight Trump's extreme agenda while building a better future for our kids and grandkids. So please, will you chip in $5 or more to join my team?

Coloradans need a governor who is ready to stand up to Trump from day one. A governor who can set an example for other states to follow of how to fight back and not just resist, but defeat, Trumpism.

Well, I've got a long history of serving our state at every level, from improving student achievement as superintendent of the Denver Public Schools, to balancing the city's budget as chief of staff to Denver’s mayor, to working to lower costs and protect our public lands as senator.

Now, I'm ready to take that experience to the statehouse, where I will work tirelessly to rebuild our middle class in Colorado and build an economy that works for everyone, not just the people at the top.
