** DEAR FRIENDS,
------------------------------------------------------------

There is big news to report as summer draws to an end! Brutal steer tailing events, while far from over, are becoming fewer, and farther between this season, as we relentlessly document and expose the illegal cruelty with our drones.

A year ago we were pounding five Illinois counties weekend after weekend, with Boone County seeing the most activity. Then Boone County Sheriff Scott Yunk stepped up and started filing cruelty charges. Additionally, we found that a number of steer tailing properties were violating various zoning ordinances, and so the steer tailers were knocked down in Boone County.

Today Boone County is quiet, at least for now, as is Will County. DeKalb County has had just one event, and we are pushing for criminal charges. McHenry is also running an investigation following its last event. We will update you when possible on these cases, both of which should result in criminal charges.

Ogle County, which is now the worst of the worst in the steer tailing controversy, has done nothing to stop the abuse, and yet, there are far fewer events happening there. When they are happening in Ogle County, we are there to further document and continue to expose the spineless excuses for leaders in what we have dubbed "The Toilet of Illinois."

The bottom line is, our campaign - and your pressure - is working. Let's keep it up, and turn it up!

The last Ogle County event was Sunday, August 31, 2025. There were more injuries, but the abusers have felt our pressure. There was an, as of yet, unidentified veterinarian, although we can't say if the vet is properly licensed, and only some of the animals were treated.

Some lamed steers were re-abused after incurring injuries that left them still mobile and able to run. The Ogle County Sheriff's Office was predictably worthless when we called to report the violations of Illinois humane laws.

The promise that I personally make to Ogle County State's Attorney Mike Rock, Ogle County Sheriff Brian VanVickle, and the Ogle County Board is that we will never forget the abuse they have ignored for the last four years, and we won't allow them to forget it either. Long after Rock and VanVickle have left their employment in Ogle County, we will make those in their world aware of their disgusting history. They will be held accountable, because we will not forget the suffering caused by these corrupt political hacks.

There was also a steer with a broken horn that was clearly causing extreme pain, as the steer could not walk in a straight line and was consistently throwing his head around.

The thing we have to remember about steer tailing, and every other form of animal abuse. There is no guarantee anything is over forever. We always have to be ready to fight anew.

SHARK is always ready, and ever vigilant, but we need your support ([link removed]) to take on more issues, and to continue to fight cruelty.
