Team —
The GOP’s audacity knows no limits.
Arizona Republican Rep. David Schweikert just called concerns about 194,000 Arizonans losing Medicaid coverage "whining and bedwetting."
That's right — Schweikert thinks it's "whining" when Arizona families worry about losing their health insurance, while defending tax cuts for billionaires. Need we say more?
Let's be clear about what he’s defending:
- 194,000 Arizonans projected to lose Medicaid coverage
- 1 in 5 people in his own district depend on Medicaid — 12,601 of whom would lose coverage
- More than 55% of Arizona hospitals forced to operate in the red, risking closures across the state
- $33.1 billion slashed from Arizona's healthcare spending
But wait, it gets worse.
In the same breath, Schweikert called for cuts to Medicare — a program that nearly 1.5 million Arizonans rely on. He mocked his own colleagues for being afraid to cut Medicare, saying "you've got to go there."
This is the same David Schweikert who refuses to show up to town halls, backs out of debates at the last minute, and won't face the people he's sworn to serve.

The folks in Arizona’s first congressional district deserve more than a representative who mocks their healthcare concerns while pushing to cut the programs they depend on.
Thanks for helping us deliver for everyday Arizonans,
