July 2020 Symposium Webinar Series: Advocacy

We have taken our 2020 Symposium programming online! Each month through December, we'll be presenting content about a specific theme related to sexual health. CEs will be provided. Interview Spotlight

Each month, the Texas Campaign interviews people with lived experience with regards to teen pregnancy or sex education in Texas to learn about their experience and to help us incorporate youth voice into everything we do. The impact of their first-hand experience helps inform our future work across the state. 

This month, we interviewed Bailee Smith, who shared her experience with the sex education she received at her public school in Mabank, Texas.

Input Needed: Regional Summits Targeting Amarillo & South Texas

We are seeking input from residents of South Texas and Amarillo to help us determine the feasiblity of a one-day virtual summit this fall in each area. The goal of these events would be to provide professional development opportunities to youth-serving professionals and to increase the knowledge, skills, and abilities of adults who provide services to adolescents.

Our 2019 Year in Review is here! Last year, the Texas Campaign celebrated our 10 year anniversary. Over the last decade, we have worked towards our mission of reducing teen pregnancy in Texas through research, advocacy, collaboration, and training.

Opportunity for Pregnant or Parenting Adolescents: Healthy Relationships

Texas State Strengthening Relationships / Strengthening Families is offering this great version of their (federally-grant funded) Healthy Relationships curriculum online this summer - and it’s open to any pregnant girl, expectant dad, or already parenting mom or dad age 21 or under in the state of Texas.

It’s every other day, for an hour and a half, for two weeks and includes gift cards, as well as a unique and interactive way to build parenting and relationship skills. There will be one session in Spanish and one session in English. For more information click here.
