Let me be clear: this isn’t about public safety. It’s about political theater.

If this administration actually cared about safety, they’d be funding local police departments, restoring community policing grants, and addressing the root causes of violence. But instead, they’re doing the opposite: cutting support, stripping away health care and food assistance, and targeting immigrant families with fear-based enforcement.
