Did you see this update? Trump is telling Republicans to rebrand his “One Big Beautiful Bill” as the “Working Families Tax Plan Bill.”
Give me a break.
A new name won’t change that this bill rips health care away from millions of people to fund tax breaks for billionaires.
A new name won’t change that this bill raises the cost of prescription drugs by 900% for people on Medicaid.
A new name won’t change that this bill kicks 7 million people off of SNAP benefits.
Americans hate this bill. According to a new poll, more than 64 percent of voters view it unfavorably, including two-thirds of non-MAGA Republicans.
No amount of flashy, poll-tested branding can make up for the real pain and destruction working families will feel.
This is Trump’s classic playbook: Says he supports working families, but pushes policies that actually make life harder for them.
I’m not letting Trump perform this double act with no consequences. I’ll keep calling out his lies, and I’ll keep going to red states to connect with voters and bring them into our movement — one that’s actually fighting for working families through plans like universal child care, paid leave, and taxing the rich.
If you’re with me in this fight, please chip in $28 or whatever you can to help power this critical work.
