The coalition in Chicago is crucial — and growing. And we have local
leaders standing on the side of the people.

"No federal troops in the city of Chicago! No militarized force in the
city of Chicago!" Mayor Brandon Johnson said yesterday at a rousing Labor
Day rally.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker is also sounding the alarm – warning that
Trump’s agents plan to “raid Latino communities and say they're targeting
violent criminals.”

Let’s be clear: this escalation must be met with resistance. Together we
MUST draw the line and show overwhelming grassroots opposition.
