JOHN — It’s called the Department of Defense for a reason.

War must always be a last resort. America is great because of our restraint, because we care about our Troops, and because we put defense before war.

Iraq, Afghanistan — those were avoidable wars that tarnished America’s reputation, caused untold harm, and left thousands of Americans wounded and dead from combat and suicide.

That’s what an America that puts war first looks like. That’s the America Trump and Hegseth want. But that’s not our America.

It would take an act of Congress to change the Department of Defense into the Department of War, and VoteVets is not going to let it happen.
